CEO Trust’s Connecticut Chapter took a fascinating look into the ins & outs, best practices, and dangerous pitfalls of doing business in China. On May 9th in Stamford, we heard from a panel of experts with tremendous experience in this area. The CEO Trustee who pulled the event together grew up with Chinese, Brazilian and American cultures, which gave her unique perspective to pull together an exceptional expert panel to offer insight into this topic. From marketing issues to legal ramifications, and tax implications to consumer & cultural considerations, each panelist addressed a different aspect of doing business in China. Each brought to the table a unique perspective gleaned from their individual and extensive experiences in and with this Asian nation.

Executive Membership Organization, C-Suite Trust, Launches Greater Philadelphia Chapter

Philadelphia, October 21, 2011–The C-Suite Trust (http://www.c-suite.org) is expanding to include a Greater Philadelphia Chapter. The new chapter’s grand launch celebration will take place in Center City Philadelphia on Thursday, November 3.

“The C-Suite Trust has made a significant difference for our CEOs and C-suite executives. A number of our Trustees (members) who live or work in Philadelphia advocated for a chapter here,” explained Theresa Boyce, Chair of C-Suite Trust. “Our C-Suite Trustees are enthusiastic about creating the same chance for Philadelphia executives to benefit from the camaraderie and warmth of the C-Suite Trust.”

Jerry Sweeney (CEO, Brandywine Realty Trust), Philadelphia Chapter leader and mentor added, “We are so pleased that an organization with strong values of authentic leadership and generosity of spirit is coming to Philadelphia. I am looking forward to a collaborative environment where senior executives can come together to share and help each other.”

Chair of the Philadelphia Chapter CEO Affinity Group, Drew Palmer (President, ESP Systems) added, “We’ve put together an excellent slate of events that we believe is topical and will be of great interest to current and prospective C-Suite Trustees. Consistently providing relevant, high-quality programs is a key element of the C-Suite Trust experience.“

“We’re very proud to have the commitment of four very solid Strategic Alliances supporting the Philadelphia C-Suite Trust,” said Dave Ballai, Philadelphia Chair of the SA Committee (CIO and VP of Reed Technology). “Each brings unique perspectives and complementary strengths, and they have been strong early supporters. On behalf of the founding Trustees, I would like to express appreciation to our partners; Aon Hewitt, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, RR Donnelley, and SFG Wealth Planning.”

CEOs and C-suite executives who meet our criteria (on websites at ceotrust.org and c-suite.org) are welcome to attend this kick-off event as a guest of the C-Suite Trust. Contact Lisa Carnesi at lcarnesi@c-suite.org for your invitation or other details.

About C-Suite Trust

C-Suite Trust is a by-invitation membership organization of C-suite executives including Chairmen, CEOs, CFOs, GCs, CMOs, CIOs, Chief HR Officers and others in the C-suite, managing their discipline in a corporate environment. Founded in 2008, the Trust helps C-suite executives come together to support each other in ways only they can, with camaraderie, counsel and referrals.
