Come join us at Westchester County Airport for a fascinating and unforgettable glimpse into today's state-of-the-art aviation technology. Choose from one of two exciting adventures in aviation for this extraordinary event hosted by our Strategic Alliance AVEUS:
AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ("ATC") TOWER TOURS: Two groups of 7 people will receive a private group tour of the ATC Tower. The FAA’s Supervisor on Duty will explain the roles of Ground Control, Tower Control, and Air Traffic Control. Hear that cool ‘pilot speak’ firsthand as you watch them in action and enjoy spectacular panoramic views from high above the tarmac. Each group will meet at the base of the Tower for their 25-minute tour. The first group will meet at 6:00 pm, and the second at 6:30 pm sharp. The FAA is being exceptionally accommodating with this post-September 11th request, and these times must be kept.
REDBIRD FMX FLIGHT SIMULATOR EXPERIENCE: Another 10 people will fly the state-of-the art Redbird FMX flight simulator, the latest in "SIM" technology. You'll be guided by an experienced, FAA-licensed flight instructor for this thrilling 10 min. flight. Pick the airports from which you’d like to take off and land... Fly by the Eiffel Tower, the Kremlin, or even your own neighborhood! Flights will be scheduled every 15 minutes between 5 and 7:15 pm.
Between 5 and 8:00 pm, guests will enjoy each other's company while mingling over wine & appetizers - courtesy of Strategic Alliance AVEUS - at Panorama’s fine facility.
This event is strictly limited to 24 guests. Please do not sign up and be a no show, as this takes the experience away from another guest.
Upon RSVP, you will be contacted by CT Chapter Event Coordinator, Cathy Curley, for your preferred choice of experience - tower tour or flight simulator. At that time, you will receive further details.
