WILL THE PARADES ON WALL STREET AND MAIN STREET HIT A POTHOLE?
With the close of the first quarter, a significant milestone was crossed by the economy, or by “Main Street,” as it’s sometimes called. The U.S. economic expansion has now become the second-longest since 1930. On Wall Street, stocks powered higher, extending their run, which (if it continues) is already the second-strongest in the last 100 years. The parades on Main St. and Wall St. successfully shook off concerns over rising wages and higher interest rates. Will it continue?
