The Honorable Phil English is Co-Chairman of the Government Relations Practice Group at Arent Fox LLP, serving as an advisor and advocate in the areas of tax policy, healthcare, international trade and energy. He previously represented northwestern Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving on the House Ways and Means Committee and its Select Revenue, Trade, and Health Subcommittees. He also served on the President's Export Council, and the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee.
Phil also serves as National Coordinator for the Healthcare Group Purchasing Industry Initiative (HGPII), the national ethics compliance and best practices organization responsible for providing transparency in the healthcare supply chain, overseeing standards for contracting on behalf of hospitals, nursing homes, and health practices nationwide.
Currently he serves as Chairman of the Board of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a board member of the Tax Foundation, and Co-Chairman of the Institute for Representative Government (IRG). He previously served as a member of the U.S. National Commission on UNESCO, and the Platform Committee of the 2004 Republican National Convention.
